Why Choose Us

What sets Red Robin Learning apart

Combined & Triple Science

Whether your child takes Combined Science (2 GCSEs) or separate Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (3 GCSEs), we match them with a specialist who knows the syllabus inside out.

Practical Skills Without a Lab

Required practicals make up a significant portion of the exam. We teach the theory, method, and analysis so your child can answer practical questions confidently — no lab needed.

The Maths That Matters

Around 20% of science marks involve maths. We build the calculation skills — rearranging formulae, interpreting graphs, unit conversions — that many students lose easy marks on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

Do you cover Combined Science or Triple Science?
Both. Combined Science (AQA Trilogy, Edexcel Combined, OCR Gateway) gives 2 GCSEs. Triple Science (separate Biology, Chemistry, Physics) gives 3 GCSEs. Tell us which your child takes and we match the right tutor.
Can one tutor cover all three sciences?
For Combined Science, yes — our science tutors cover biology, chemistry, and physics. For Triple Science, some students prefer a specialist per subject. We can arrange this with sessions on different days.
My child finds science boring. Can tutoring help?
Often "boring" means "I don't understand it." When a tutor explains concepts clearly and connects them to real-world examples, science becomes much more engaging. We hear this feedback regularly from parents.
How do you cover required practicals online?
We use diagrams, videos, and interactive walkthroughs of each practical. Students learn the method, variables, expected results, and how to evaluate — everything the exam tests, without needing a lab.
Which exam board do you cover?
AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. The core content overlaps significantly, but question styles differ. Your tutor aligns specifically to your child's exam board from the first session.
