How GCSE Grade Prediction Works
This tool maps your mock exam percentage to the standard GCSE 9-1 grading scale using approximate grade boundaries. While actual boundaries vary by exam board and year, mock exam scores are a strong indicator of final performance.
Understanding Foundation vs Higher Tier
Most GCSE subjects offer two tiers of entry. Higher tier covers grades 4-9, while Foundation tier covers grades 1-5. If you're taking Foundation, the maximum grade you can achieve is 5 — even with a perfect score. This tool applies the Foundation cap automatically.
