What We Cover
Each topic is taught with clear explanations and regular practice to build lasting understanding.
Physical Chemistry
Energetics, equilibria, rate equations, Born-Haber cycles, entropy and free energy — where the marks are won on explanation, not recall.
Organic Mechanisms
Nucleophilic substitution and addition, electrophilic addition and substitution, elimination — drawn with correct curly arrows, which is where marks are lost.
Inorganic Chemistry
Periodicity, Group 2 and Group 7, transition metals, complex ions and colour, and the qualitative analysis tests.
Analytical Techniques
NMR, mass spectrometry, infrared and chromatography, and the structure-determination questions that combine them.
Calculations
Moles, titrations, atom economy, Kc and Kp, pH and buffers — the quantitative work that has to be exact to earn the mark.
Required Practicals
Method, variables, sources of error and evaluation for every required practical your board sets, taught so practical questions are answerable.
