Close the gaps now so GCSE maths feels manageable, not overwhelming

KS3 maths is where the gaps that cause GCSE struggles first appear. Our tutoring identifies and fills these gaps early, building your child's confidence with number work, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving so they are ready for GCSE content.

Why Choose Us

What sets Red Robin Learning apart

Gap identification first

Before diving into new content, we identify exactly where your child's understanding breaks down. Filling these gaps early prevents the compounding effect that makes GCSE maths feel overwhelming.

Connected to GCSE content

We teach KS3 topics with an eye on how they develop at GCSE, so your child builds habits and methods that scale rather than needing to relearn techniques later.

Detailed progress tracking

Our AI-generated session reports tell you exactly what your child covered, where they are confident, and what needs more practice — delivered after every session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

My child says they are "bad at maths". Can tutoring help?
Absolutely. "Bad at maths" almost always means "has gaps that make current work feel impossible". Once we identify and fill those gaps, your child starts experiencing success, which builds genuine confidence. Most of our students felt this way when they started.
How is your tutoring different from school support?
School teachers have 30 students in a class and a curriculum to deliver. Our tutors have one student and can spend as long as needed on a concept. We also adapt our explanations to how your child thinks, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Will this help with GCSE preparation?
Yes, directly. Every KS3 topic is a foundation for GCSE content. Algebra at KS3 becomes simultaneous equations and quadratics at GCSE. If the foundations are solid, GCSE content is significantly more manageable.
How do sessions work online?
We use Google Meet with a shared digital whiteboard. Your child and their tutor work through problems together in real time, with the tutor demonstrating methods and your child practising them. It feels natural after the first session.
How often should my child have sessions?
One session per week is our standard recommendation for steady progress. If your child has significant gaps or exams approaching, two sessions per week can accelerate improvement. We will advise based on your child's starting point.
