Privacy for Young People
A short, plain-language guide for students. The full version is in our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
We are Red Robin Learning. We help students like you get better at school subjects with online tutors. We care about your privacy.
What we collect about you
- Your name and the year group you're in.
- The lessons you attend and how often you join.
- A recording of your online lesson — recording starts automatically when the lesson begins.
- Messages you send to your tutor or to us.
- Your homework or practice answers, when you upload them.
Why we collect it
- To run your lessons and write your reports.
- To keep you safe — recordings let us check what happened if anyone is worried.
- To create practice questions that match what you worked on in the lesson.
Who sees your information
- Your tutor and the admin team at Red Robin Learning.
- Your parent or guardian.
- Trusted services that help us run the website (like the company that processes payments and the company that sends emails).
- We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not show you adverts based on what you do here.
AI helpers
We use AI tools to help write your reports and practice questions quickly. A real person checks them before they reach you or your parent. The AI tools don't use your information to teach themselves.
Recordings
Lesson recordings are kept for 90 days, then deleted. Only a small number of trusted adults at Red Robin Learning can watch them, and we only do that if there is a good reason — like checking everyone is safe.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what information we have about you.
- Fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete information we don't need anymore.
- Stop using your data for AI features if that worries you.
Talk to your parent or guardian first, or email us at privacy@redrobinlearning.com.
Staying safe online
- Don't share your password with anyone, even your tutor.
- Tell a trusted adult — or email safeguarding@redrobinlearning.com — if anything happens online that worries you.
